Good Manners

Mike and I are trying to teach Emily to use her manners when she speaks to people. Like saying "please" and "thank you". She does really well with the "thank you" part, it's the "please" that we really need to work on. Well, I don't think she understands what I mean when I say to "use your good manners". Yesterday she asks me: "Mommy, can I have some juice?" I tell her to use her good manners, so she says: "Mommy, can I have some juice good manners?"

so funny! We use sign language to remind them to say please and thank you. I heard that tip so that even when they are older and forget you can sign it to them, they say it, aren't embarrassed that they forgot and all is good. Right now though, Rachael just does the sign right back :)
